Thank you to everyone who let me know about issues regarding typos, grammatical mistakes, and more. Your individual and combined efforts made a huge difference, and really contributed to the final polish of this file. You're all so great, and I appreciate your support more than you know.
Psst! For those of you that missed the Kickstarter and Backerkit window, this PDF will be distributed very shortly through the Deck of Many!

Hey everyone! First off, thanks for your continued enthusiasm and excitement for this project! I'm thrilled to let you know that everything is still on schedule for shipping next month!
Books are being bound
Cards are being printed/boxed
Deck Boxes are being shipped
Pins are at the warehouse
Totes are being mass produced (see the video at the bottom)
The 10 limited run leather bags are being made
So we're on pace! If anything ends up delaying us, we'll still be able to ship veryearly into November, so we're still in good shape!
My friends at The Deck of Many (of Humblewood fame) are running another Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming carnival/horror campaign setting that takes characters through levels 1 through 10. This setting has incredible flavor, unique mechanics for how the story progresses (by playing cards with your players!) and awesome new monsters and unlockable content! The Deck of Many are some of thebest people to watch when it comes to 5e campaign and setting content, so you want to make sure you're not missing this one!
I just partnered up with my friends in Paris at Studio Agate, who are making a beautifulmonster compendium. I'll be making a pair of magic items that'll be featured in their book. They've got 11 days left on their Kickstarter journey, and they're already crushing it at over 1,000% their funding goal. If you haven't already seen this project, you gotta check it out! Here's their description of the book:
Designed by the creators of Shadows of Esteren and Fateforge, Creatures is a love letter to fantasy bestiaries. Its 400 pages detail more than 200 illustrated creatures using the 5th Edition ruleset of the most famous of roleplaying games. Its contents include 6 playable species, NPCs with related adventure hooks for all levels, reimagined classic creatures and brand new ones, as well as 15 archetypes, providing you with material to design new monsters for your games!

And as promised, here's a video of the tote bag! Thanks to everyone who's ordered one so far! If you missed getting anything from the Kickstarter or Backerkit window, you can preorder them now from The Deck of Many!
Until next time, adventurers: keep on adventuring!
Ledger+ Access Codes sent out! Deck Box Prototypes are in! Also, who's Team Superhydra?

The Ledger+ is ready for backers!
Hey everyone! Check your emails for your brand-spankin' new Ledger+ codes! Be sure to check your spam folders, of course, if you don't see it.
If you still don't see it, you can always just grab the code directly from Backerkit by logging in there like you did before with your email address and downloading the code there. Easy!
There are instructions associated with the file on how to use it, but I've also made a step-by-step guide here, too. It's really simple to start using the Ledger+ and searching through these magic items!
If you didn't get to purchase a code and didn't get one through Kickstarter, hang on just a little longer: I'm figuring out the best way to distribute these codes going forward. Backerkit's got a great system, and if I can keep using it I'd be happy to. The Deck of Many might have something for it, too, but it requires a little bit of research. But! If you're impatient, you can always start using it in its entirety right now by becoming a patron instead and linking your accounts!
Send a magic link to whatever email address you want to associate with your account. It doesn't have to be the one used for Kickstarter or Backerkit. This sends an email to that inbox with a link in it that automagically logs you into the Ledger+. Be sure to check your spam folders if you don't see it!
Clicking the link in your email logs you in and brings you to the Ledger+ again in a new tab. Once you're there, click the "Account" button in the upper right. Again, if you're on mobile, this'll be in the hamburger menu there instead.
In the Account flyout, select "Apply Access Code"
Paste that Access Code you got in this field and hit the "Apply Code" button below it. This can take a few seconds.
Bam! Done! Magic! You're all set with the 365 magic items in Book 1...forever! This also includes any free items I release, with new ones added each weekend. If you're one of the few who snagged the Hero's Pack and got the Total Access Code, you'll see everything ever made here instead, with more added every weekday. Of course, you can become a patron to get those benefits, too, if you missed out on it!
What're Stashes?
Staches are nifty ways to organize these items into groups that make sense to you within the Ledger+. This could be stashes for your group's or player's inventory, a shop's wares, or potential loot for a dungeon or dragon's hoard. Your game, your loot, your rules: organize these items and keep them sorted in whatever way works best for you!
Who's Team Superhydra?
This isn't entirely relevant, but for whatever reason, Stripe sometimes displays your purchase through Backerkit for this Kickstarter as having been made to Team Superhydra. Rest assured, that's me! Team Superhydra is a collective of other fabulous 5e creators who work together regularly to put out new (free) content for everyone. I'm the account guy for it, and despiteall efforts with Stripe to sort it out, your purchases may sometimes show up as Team Superhydra instead of the The Griffon's Saddlebag.
And yes! Your deck box prototypes are in, and they look awesome!
I've attached pictures below, which can speak for themselves. These are made from a thin, folded plastic that's resilient to bumps and scrapes. They'll fit great in all of your Saddlebag Totes and game bags!
Next up:
Once again, thank you everyone for your support here. It's been incredible, and I can't wait to get you all your physical rewards as soon as possible. We're still on schedule! I'm getting the proofs for the books in soon (I'll share pics, don't worry), and right now the art for all the unlocked adventures is being finalized. I'll need to put it all together in documents for you once they're finished, but it's coming together nicely!
That's all for now! Until next time, keep on adventuring!

Clarification: If you have two codes for the Ledger+, you can give one away!
– Tue, Aug 11, 2020 at 07:07:06 PM
Hey folks! Point of clarification here:
If you have 2 codes for the Ledger+, that means that your pledge level gave you a code, but you also got one because we reached the $50k Kickstarter stretch goal. You only need one!
That means that you can give away your second code to a friend or fellow GM to enjoy! No need to try to apply both of them: you'll just get an error saying that you're already set up with a code, or that the code is invalid (for you—it'll work if someone else applies it).
It's been awesome seeing the new accounts and usage light up today! Hope you enjoy it! If it's slow right now, it's because it's serving to a larger audience today than usual. Rest assured: once folks get their accounts set up, this is a snappy and responsive tool! Thanks for bearing the occasional load times today!
Keep on adventuring!
Ledger+ Access Codes in 1-2 weeks, late purchases on The Deck of Many, and good manufacturing updates
over 4 years ago
– Sat, Aug 01, 2020 at 06:40:57 PM
Hey everyone!
I've gotten a lot of questions in the last week about the Ledger+ codes, and I'm happy to say that they're working and are virtually ready for distribution! However, I'm working on getting the userflow polished to a point where you can add them as seamlessly as possible. Once it's ready for everyone, you can expect them in your inboxes! When you get them, you'll be able to add them directly to your Ledger+ account, which you can create any time you want right here. I'll be sure to create another update about it!
I've also gotten a lot of questions about late backing. Rest assured: rewards from the Kickstarter campaign will be available for sale very soon through The Deck of Many. We're still working out the best way to distribute L+ codes to people who didn't order through KS or Backerkit, which has a great delivery system for codes, so they may ultimately need to be sold elsewhere: potentially directly from the Ledger. The PDF, when sold on the Deck of Many, will also be a pre-order until I submit the final files to the printer. You wait a little longer, but you get the final product in one final download!
Speaking of the printers, they're working on the proofs right now. That means that I'll be getting physical copies in the mail to review soon, and after making any last minute edits, the printers will be working on producing these for you all! There will be a limited stock of unsold Deluxe editions of the book on The Deck of Many, too, so be sure to get those while they're around!
Further, the tote bags are almost ready for production as well. I've been back and forth with them about edits and final design quality control for weeks. They're looking awesome! The same holds true with the enamel pins, deck boxes, and card volumes: they're all rolling along as planned and on schedule!
So ultimately, we're looking good! No issues to speak of, and you can expect those Ledger+ codes to go out in the next one to two weeks! And if you missed out on something during the campaign, you can get it very soon from The Deck of Many's site!
